THE FAB FIVE
The “Fab Five" of LeBron James, Dru Joyce III, Romeo Travis, Sian Cotton, and Willie McGee, led by Coach Dru, were named the USA Today National Champions and captured the Ohio State Boys Basketball Championship title for St. Vincent-St. Mary in 2003. The 2003 season capped off the team's run as one of the best high school basketball teams in history, winning three out of four state titles. The Fab Five has gone on to be a major force in the game of basketball and beyond. It was the spirit of competition and excellence displayed by the Fab Five in their legendary high school years that set the tone for what would become the Dru Joyce Classic.
