National Coach of the Year by USA Today

In 1995 the Northeast Ohio Basketball Association (NEOBA) was born. It all began with my son's journey into the world of travel basketball. I had always wanted to coach, in fact coaching was a dream of mine. I jumped at the idea of helping my son realize his dream to play basketball at the highest level. As a Christian I believed this could also be a powerful ministry tool, so the NEOBA was formed with the idea of using basketball to bring kids from all walks of life together on the common ground of sports.
From the very beginning, I knew if I taught kids how to play the game, winning would take care of itself. This belief became the foundational principle upon which the association was built. I also believe that incorporating the core values of: integrity - honoring truth; sacrifice - giving up personal glory for the good of the team; discipline - training that corrects, molds, and perfects as well as respect for the game, teammates, coaches, and opponents would develop well rounded players.
Come and be a part of the journey,
